Program Description: The Homeless Veterans’ Reintegration Project (HVRP) provides outreach, needs assessment, case management, employment counseling, job training/job skills enhancement, job placement, and transportation to homeless Veterans in Knoxville, Tennessee, Metropolitan Statistical Area. The HVRP links homeless Veterans with other appropriate service provides, such as Local Veterans’ Representatives at the Department for Employment Services, Community Based Services, VA Medical Clinic and VA Medical Center, Local Housing Authorities, and other service providers. The HVRP reintegrates Veterans into the workforce and links homeless Veterans with potential employers with the objective of helping them achieve self-sufficiency. The HVRP provides 180 days follow-up to ascertain job retention.
